With the help of the Maine Forest Service, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, burns part of the Pollard Flats Wildlife Management Area on Oct. 22. IF&W is experimenting with controlled burns on state owned lands in Ashland and Masardis to improve grassland habitats for birds and other wildlife.
