A group of leadership students from the Loring Job Corps Center’s military prep program recently visited Washington, D.C., to honor fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery, where they participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

At the Tomb are, from left: John Serkess, Romario Huyhn, Robert Bates, Anthony Hayes, Jamir Burton and Deangelo Martin. The group also visited multiple memorials in the capital, and returned with a larger understanding of the many sacrifices those who served endured to make the country free. While in D.C., the group also attended the Association of the United States Army Convention and spoke with military leaders to thank them for their service and gain first-hand knowledge of today’s military.
