FORT KENT, Maine – The University of Maine at Fort Kent Environmental Studies Speaker Series will host a presentation by alumnus Patrick Emery on Friday, December 1 at Noon in Nadeau Hall conference room. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Emery will speak about the mission of the Maine Land Use Planning Commission (LUPC) and its responsibilities. He will talk about his personal and work experiences that led him to get into state government and careers in conservation.
Patrick Emery works for the office of LUPC, through the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry, as an environmental specialist II. He serves the Ashland region.
Emery graduated from UMFK in 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with a concentration in wildlife ecology. Prior to joining LUPC, he was employed at the Allagash Wilderness Waterway for many years and for the Maine Conservation Corps.
