PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Almost a year after opening its doors at 34 North Street, Salon 207 has expanded to occupy two more suites in the building and its owner has hired seven additional employees to meet demand.
“We’re a group of people who pay attention to community. People are comfortable coming here and trusting us with their hair and nails,” said owner Kelsie Spooner.
After establishing her business in early December of last year, Spooner was soon overwhelmed with clients, which made way for more business opportunities and the need to hire more staff to continue taking on new clients, she said.
“I got into this business because I love hair, nails and creativity. The other girls here are the same way,” she said, adding that they stay up to date on current style trends.
Thanks to the expansion, Salon 207 now offers facials, eyelash extensions and aromatouch therapy among its services.
