Edna Graves

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – My mother, Edna Graves, is survived by all who loved her. She helped raised more than she birthed and left a lasting impression on those she met along her way.

Her hands were always busy making and creating for her loved ones, hoping to leave an afghan or quilt to each and every one that belonged to her in one way or another.
Steve and Mary, Dominique, Nicholas, Christine and Leo, have memories to carry us through with stories to regale future generations. We gathered as a family to cherish her last moments. She fell asleep to escape her pain, woke briefly to give me one last smile, love shining brightly from her eyes. She proudly introduced Nick and tenderly consoled Dominique in her transitioning haze. She missed my dad greatly and waited impatiently to rejoin him.
The only light in death is that those who pass before are ready to welcome and comfort those who seek peace. Her wings have taken her to dad so she can once again lay beside him as his loving wife. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
