EASTON, Maine — The Francis Malcolm Science Center invites the community to its holiday craft workshop and a program on “The Christmas Star.”

At the workshop, participants will make their own wreath, centerpiece or swag.  Sessions will be offered Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1, both at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 2, at 9 or 10:30 a.m.

Workshop costs are $15 for wreaths and large centerpieces, and $8 for swags and small centerpieces. Reservations are required as space is limited.

On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m., the center will present its holiday planetarium feature, “The Christmas Star.” The hourlong presentation offers a both festive and astronomical investigation of the holiday traditions in general and the mystery of the “star” of Bethlehem in particular to enrich the holiday spirit. Reservations are requested.
