DANIEL NOEL HISCOE, HOULTON – Daniel Noel Hiscoe, 44, passed away far too soon on December 8, 2017, at his residence. He was born on November 18, 1973, in Houlton, Maine, the son of Rosemary (Kelley) Ivey and George Hiscoe.
Daniel graduated from Houlton High School in 1992 and studied business at UMaine. He followed in his grandfather, Donald Kelley’s, footsteps doing roofing work and eventually started his own business, “Hiscoe Roofing”. Daniel did beautiful work and was proud of his business. Daniel was also a Tribal member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians.
Dan was loved by many and is survived by his mother, Rosemary Ivey; father, George Hiscoe, and his stepmother, Diane; his siblings, Ted Ivey, Jr., Julie Ivey, Erica Mine and her husband, Wunna, Sam Hiscoe and his wife, Chrissy, Hannah Brown and her husband, Nicholas, Parker and Camden Hiscoe; his niece and nephews, Donald Ivey, Mason Anderson, Elsie Brown, Beckett Hiscoe, and Jaeda Hiscoe Cyr. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Mae (Tomah) Kelley; paternal grandparents, Peter Hiscoe, Jeannie Collins and Lois Hiscoe, special aunt, Catherine (Kelley) Ivey; and his brother, Christopher Hiscoe.
Family and friends may visit at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Houlton Wesleyan Church, where a service honoring his life will be held at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton, in the spring. If you or your loved one suffer from addiction, please reach out for help. You matter. You are worth it.
