The Houlton Council of Catholic Women met on December 4, 2017 in the Parish Center for their annual Christmas party.

After our opening prayers, salute to the flag and cross and our hymn, Deacon Al offered a blessing.  A delicious potluck was enjoyed by all.  We were treated with Deacon Al’s wassail.

Following our meal, Janet Barker conducted the business meeting.

The Christmas wreath raffle was once again a success.  The winner of the wreath which was decorated with fifty one dollar bills was Corey Ardell.

Birthdays and anniversaries for December were noted.  Prayer intentions were gathered followed by three Hail Mary’s.

Meeting adjourned and a Yankee Swap was held.  Our president, Sue Hardy, was unable to attend due to an illness in her family, but was able to join in the fun via a video phone call.

Our next meeting will be held on January 2, 2018 at 5:30.  This meeting will be held on Tuesday due to the holiday on Monday.  All Catholic ladies are invited to attend.
