DEBRA J. (GREEN) JEWELL, HOULTON – Debra J. Jewell, 63, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Houlton. She was born February 23, 1954, in Bangor, the daughter of Lewis and Gloria (Whalen) Green.
Debra grew up in Bangor and graduated from high school there. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and upon moving to Houlton, went to work for CLA. She enjoyed many years there with the clients and the great relationship she had with them. Debra loved and was concerned for all animals and enjoyed visiting shelters and farms. She loved being outside in the sun working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed making homemade gifts and crafts for everyone as well as painting ceramics. Most of all, Debra loved her kids, grandkids, and taking trips. She will be remembered as a caring, thoughtful, woman who put the needs of others above herself.
She leaves behind her husband, Daniel A. Jewell Sr.; three children and their families, Butch Taylor, his wife, Sherri, and their children, Christopher, Faith, Nicholas, and Vanessa; Angie Sennett, her husband, Dan, and their children, Carley and Zachary; Mandy LeMoine, her partner, Jake Handy, and their daughter, Mya Bea LeMoine Handy. She is also survived by three stepchildren and their families, Daniel A. Jewell Jr. and his children, Stephen, Barrett, David, and Katie; Randy Jewell, his wife, Donna, and their children, Samantha, Jordan, Brittany and her son, Ryker; Ada Jewell, her partner, Robbie and daughter, Destiny; her stepmother, Verna “Bunny”; three brothers and their families, Stephen Green, his wife, Judy and their daughters, Jodi and husband, Nick, and Gloria; Lewis Green, and James Green; and a sister, Cindy. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Gloria Green; and a sister, Donna Taylor.
