JAMES ‘JIMMY’ WENDELL MCCORDIC JR., LUDLOW – James “Jimmy” Wendell McCordic Jr., 52, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, December 31, 2017, at a Bangor hospital with family and friends by his side. He was born October 12, 1965, in Houlton, the son of James McCordic Sr. and Judy (Merritt) McCordic.
Jimmy was a hard worker who owned and operated High Voltage Engine Works in Houlton. He put his heart and soul into the cabin that he built and the shop which he turned into a very successful business. It just wasn’t Jimmy’s hard work but also his appreciation for his customers and the friendships formed that made him successful. Jimmy was a loving husband and devoted father, as well as a great friend, who gave support to others through hard times. He loved woodworking, drag racing, circle track racing, snow sledding, boating on Pleasant Pond, and Disney World. He was also very proud of his Camaro “Inferno.”
In addition to his parents, James Sr. and Judy, he leaves behind the love of his life, Michele McCordic of Ludlow, who was his wife for twenty nine years and together for thirty six years; his “Princess”, Sheridan Barrows and her husband, Dale of Oakfield; a sister, Shelley Ledger and her husband, Peter of Linneus; as well as several nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by many special friends including: Tate Doane, Bear Gray, Chris Eastham, as well as his cats, “Nitro” and “Lighten” and his grand fur babies, “Boo” and “Mazzie.” He was predeceased by Gram, Pat Wotton.
Friends may call 5-7 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Sinclair officiating. Following the service the family invites relatives and friends to a reception at Linneus Sno-Sports.
