HARRISBURG, NC – Marlene Ann Legassie, 84 years of age, of Harrisburg, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, peacefully at home in Harrisburg, NC.
Marlene was born on June 22, 1933, in Caribou, Maine, to the late Cecil and Marguerite Saunders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her four brothers, Charles, Carroll, Peter, and Cecil.
Survivors include a son, David (Patricia) Legassie; a daughter, Diana (Daniel) Schilkowski, both of Harrisburg, NC; a brother, Glenwood Saunders of Madawaska, Maine; five grandsons, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass was held on Thursday, December 28, 2017.
