The Caribou girls basketball team suffered a narrow 53-50 road loss to Maine Central Institute at Pittsfield Saturday in one of the bigger games of the weekend. The Vikings remain in first place in Class B North and the Huskies moved into second. Several other games were moved from Friday to Saturday due to last week’s storm.

Weather should not be a factor for games Monday evening, but there are only a handful on the schedule. The Presque Isle boys are slated to head south to take on Orono at 6 p.m. Other Monday night basketball games include the Hodgdon boys at Houlton; Southern Aroostook boys play at Easton; and Fort Fairfield boys at Central Aroostook. All three of those games are set for 7 p.m.

A Nordic ski meet will be held in Caribou beginning at 3 p.m.
