PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Registration has begun for the fifth- and sixth-grade basketball program being held through the Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department at the Sargent Family Community Center beginning Jan. 24.
Parents can register their child in person at the community center between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or registration can be done online at pirec.org. The deadline is Jan. 17.
Assessments will be held at the community center on Jan. 22, beginning with the girls at 3:30 p.m. and continuing with the boys at 5 p.m.
Schedules and rosters will be posted by noon on Jan. 23.
A fee of $25 for residents and $75 for non-residents will be charged. For more information, call the recreation department at 764-2545.
