MAPLETON, Maine – Jacqueline B. Michaud, 81, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Ville de Dégelis, Quebec, on February 7, 1936, the daughter of Georges and Blanche (St. Onge) Landry.

She was best known by her family as Mere. Her greatest pride was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was caring for them all. She loved to knit and always made everyone their favorite pie for the holidays.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Michaud of Mapleton, her children, Micheline and her husband, Thomas Greaves, of Glenburn, Diane Lauritsen and her partner, Dick Palm, of Presque Isle, Gerald and his wife, Robin Michaud, of Mapleton; her grandchildren, Danielle Hamlin, Kara Lauritsen Mahan, Emily Greaves, Colby Lauritsen, Michael Greaves, Gage Michaud; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Riley, Owen, Evan, and Neve. She is also survived by a brother and several sisters.
In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow services at the Knights of Columbus Hall. A burial will be held in the Spring at Southside Cemetery in Mapleton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
