LIMESTONE, Maine – Janice M. Ormezzani, 77, passed away on January 12, 2018, at her Limestone residence. She was born in Gloucester, MA, on August 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Everett and Suzanne (Powers) Staten.
She married Frederick Ormezzani in 1959 and was a loving and devoted military wife and mother to her family. Janice was an active member of the American Legion Post #127 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she served on numerous committees and held various positions over the years.
Surviving in addition to her husband of over 58 years, Frederick, of Limestone, are her children, Frederick Ormezzani III of Marlboro, MA, Christopher Ormezzani and wife, Lelani, of Milton, NH, and Susan Rose Newby and husband, Dean, of Caribou; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Cathy Staten of CT; her granddaughter, Haley Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, at a date and time to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
