FORT KENT, Maine — A two-vehicle crash on School Street on Thursday morning caused damage to both vehicles but no reported injuries.
Matthew Albert, 20, of Turner lost control of his 2006 Toyota passenger car, which then collided head-on with a 2005 GMC pick-up, which 20 year-old Alexander Gillis of Nashville Plantation was driving, according to Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier.
Sgt. Dalen Boucher of the FKPD investigated the accident and determined that it was caused by Albert driving too fast for road conditions.
The pick-up received minor damage and the Toyota was extensively damaged, Pelletier said.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and neither driver was injured as a result of the accident.
Police declined to issue any citations.
