Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Jan. 20 at the home of Bonnie Cowett.
Brunch was served by Betsy Fitzherbert, Peggy Erwin, Cathy Walton, Ellen Helstrom and Bonnie Cowett.
President Sue Lougee called the business meeting to order. The group heard messages from Mae Gerrish in Florida and Helene Bernard in Arizona. Iris Towle was able to be present after recovering from surgery and she thanked the chapter for supporting her during her illness.
Members donated to Martha and Mary’s kitchen and to the Elks lodge to support the Pine Tree Camp for children.
Dolores Hutchins gave an update on plans for Founder’s Day, which will be held in April. Happy dollars were shared and Honey Higgins won the 50-50 raffle.
Judy Kenney presented a program about her trip to Minneapolis with the Maine Agri-Women. She was able to attend several agriculture presentations as well as tour a Gold Medal flour factory and a Hormel museum.
The next meeting will be Feb. 17 at 9:30 a.m. at Governor’s restaurant.
