WASHBURN, Maine – Lois M. Learnard, 89, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 30, 2018, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born on November 19, 1928, in Washburn, the daughter of Harold and Pearl (Estey) Learnard.
She worked for 43 years in banking at Washburn Trust Co., retiring in 1981. She volunteered at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. Lois was a member of the Dunntown Advent Christian Church in Wade, and the Cloverdale Lodge of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a nephew, Harold “Hal” Learnard and his wife, Debra, of Washburn, a nephew, Ted Flannigan of Bristol, CT, a grand-niece, Tiffany, and grand-nephew, Britton Glade, both of Philadelphia, PA, grand-nephews, Robert and Brad of Leominister, MA, and a special cousin, Mavis Churchill of Limestone.
Friends called from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, with Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Spring interment will be Riverside Ext. Cemetery, Washburn.
