PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Regional Career and Technical Center chapter of Future Business Leaders of America raised funds and served the community on Jan. 7.

The club held the first stew night of the season at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. Several parents donated pots of chili and chicken stew for the meal, along with brownies for dessert.

FBLA Adviser Kim Hemphill said this fundraiser, along with the annual fall harvest supper and auction, will help the students pay for costs associated with attending the FBLA State Leadership Conference, which will take place in Portland March 18-20.

Tina Caron won the 50/50 raffle, and donated her portion back to the club.

“The club appreciates her generosity,” said Hemphill. “The students thank their family and friends who support them at each fundraiser.”
