KATHERINE “KATHI” BROWN, HOULTON – Katherine “Kathi” Brown, 66, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, while surrounded by family. She was born January 25, 1952, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Paul and Betty Hersey. Kathi grew up in Monticello, and graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1970. Kathi married her high school sweetheart, Jack Brown, in June of 1972. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed crafting and watching her favorite tv shows. Her homemade dolls and snowmen reside in many homes around the county. She is survived by two sons: Eric Brown of Portsmouth, NH, Jordan Brown of Houlton, a grandson Isaac Brown of Portsmouth, NH. She also leaves behind siblings: Paula Reynolds and her husband Steve, Connie Sturgeon, Sandy Hallett and her husband Kevin, Peggy Prest, Jeff Hersey, Vaughn Hersey and his partner Jose Yamin, as well as a sisters-in-law: Cynthia Brown, Susan Morrissey, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Paul and Betty Hersey, she was predeceased by her husband Jack, and brother Steven Hersey. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
