EUGENE C. FOSTER, MONTICELLO – Eugene C. Foster, 83, passed away on March 5, 2018, at his home. He was born on April 23, 1934, in Knoxford, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Rev. Ford and Florence (Cole) Foster.
He moved to Monticello with his parents in 1947. He attended schools in Knoxford, Monticello, and Houlton. Gene worked his entire life as a book keeper and in sales and management. He was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church, serving as trustee, vice president, president, and treasurer. He and his wife, Sylvia, were also both involved with the music in the church for many years playing piano, organ, accordion, and trombone. He loved and lived for his family.
He is survived by three children, Norma (Bill) Busse of Washburn, Deverne (Laura) Foster of Monticello, and Lugene (Rob) Arnott of Houlton; five grandchildren; two step-grand-children; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Lynn (Joyce) Foster of Monticello; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia in 2007; a son-in-law, David Violette in 2008, and a granddaughter, Michelle Violette in 1975.
