WOODLAND, Maine — One hundred and seven residents came out to vote during the Town of Woodland’s March 19 municipal election.
In unofficial results released Tuesday, Thomas Drew with 74 votes beat out Collin Patterson who received 30 votes for a three year term on the Board of Selectmen. Two voters left the space blank and one voter wrote in Todd Parker.
The election results will be made official whey they are read during the town’s March 20 annual meeting.
Lance Albair and Deborah McPherson ran unopposed for a three year term on the Woodland School Board. Albair received 84 votes, McPherson received 70, and one write-in vote was submitted for each of three other people — Robert Butler, Travis Prashaw, and Norma Bondeson.
Likewise, Peter McCorrison ran unopposed for a one year term on the school board, and won with 93 votes. Two write-in votes were cast for Robert Butler, and one write-in vote each for Wayne Smith, Deborah McPherson, and Travis Prashas.
The winning candidates were to officially take their positions once their names were read during Woodland’s annual town meeting at 7 p.m. March 20. Residents also were to deal with about 30 warrant articles related to the town’s 2018 budget at the town meeting.
