CARIBOU, Maine — The host Vikings bested five other teams to win the Aroostook League Div. I girls’ volleyball tournament, held Thursday, March 22, at Caribou High School.
Presque Isle had the best record following pool play, going 8-1, while Caribou was next at 7-2, followed by MSSM at 6-3. Fort Kent and Madawaska were both 4-4 and Houlton went 1-6.
In the finals, the Vikings swept the Wildcats with scores of 28-26 and 25-22.
Jessica Limary of Caribou was named tournament MVP. Other Aroostook League volleyball all-stars were Jordan O’Leary of Fort Kent, Miranda Bragan of Presque Isle, Fariel LaMountain of MSSM, Emma Barber of Houlton, JoJo Fields of Caribou and Hannah Nadeau of Madawaska.
