Halfway Home Pet Rescue recently admitted little Graylee to receive rehabilitation at a foster home. Graylee was struck by a car near Littleton and remained on the side of the road for hours on a cold rainy day as hundreds of cars drove by her. Finally a young couple stopped to rescue her. She is thin, dehydrated, and has several broken bones. When her medical situation stabilizes, her rescuers will adopt her. She must be bathed every day, which causes pain, but she loves to be wrapped in a blanket and rocked afterward. Graylee is loving, alert, and believed to be about 4 or 5 years old. Her medical care will be expensive, so HHPR is re-creating the $1 donation challenge for her recovery. All who can are invited to share a dollar with Graylee; send contributions to HHPR “Graylee” , PO Box 488, Caribou, ME 04736. All proceeds will go toward her medical care. (Courtesy of HHPR)
