HODGDON, Maine — Town Manager Jim Griffin said that a small crowd approved a $670,160 budget at the annual town meeting held at the Hodgdon Elementary/Mill Pond School on Monday evening.
The budget represents an increase of $30,616 over last year, according to Town Manager Jim Griffin.
He said Tuesday that approximately 20 people attended the brief meeting that evening. Thirty-four residents voted Monday at the town office on available seats to the select and school boards.
Griffin said that John Gaddis and Clayton R. Quint III were elected to three-year seats on the board of selectmen. Bill Dobbins was elected to a one-year-seat.
Residents also re-elected three members to the RSU 70 school board. David Harris Jr., Ronald Silliboy Jr. and Edward McGillicuddy all won three year seats on the committee. All three were incumbents on the board.
Griffin said that residents also voted to raise $22,165 to construct a salt/sand shed in the community and to spend under $100,000 on the project.
“There really was nothing controversial,” he said Tuesday.
