In addition, he is survived by sisters, Annette, Pearl, Linda and Jeannie; a brother, Marshall; as well as several nieces and nephews, who loved their “Uncle Bill.” Bill was predeceased by his mother, Bessie and father, Milford “Miff” Carmichael; his beloved wife, Pauline; son, Tommy Dill; daughter, Wilma Sywanyk; sister, Vernna; and brothers, Mickey, Harley and Rodney.
Bill was proud of the time he served in the U.S. Army and spreading lime in the fields of Aroostook County. He loved hunting and fishing, and loved to tell the tales of his adventures, often leading to him laughing so hard he couldn’t finish. His rhymes and jokes will be missed by all that knew him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his nephew, Harley Carmichael Jr., who selflessly helped our Dad whenever called upon.
The date for a spring graveside service to be held at St. Mary’s Church in Presque Isle will be announced at a later time.
