Residents of the St. John Valley woke up to about two inches of of April snow Friday morning. It was melting quickly as the temperatures rose above freezing and according to the National Weather Service office in Caribou, by Friday afternoon the mercury will hit 50-degrees. Below normal temperatures are expected over the weekend as a cold air mass moves into the region tonight. (Julia Bayly)
