CARIBOU, Maine — On Tuesday, April 24,, at 1 p.m., the United Veterans of Maine will host a USDA information workshop at the VFW Post 9389 (located at 9389 Van Buren Rd., Caribou) for senior/elderly homeowners.
Sean Thibeau, a USDA area specialist on rural development, will be the featured guest speaker. Thibeau will provide information on grants available to the elderly to help remove health and safety hazards in the home, along with information on income requirements and eligibility.
The program aims to aid elderly families or individuals to be able to stay in their homes, benefiting them and their community.
