FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The 21st annual Memorial Day Golf Scramble at Aroostook Valley Country Club will take place Saturday, May 26, and has a four-person scramble format.
The tourney will begin with an 11 a.m. shotgun start and registration runs from 10-10:45 a.m. The field is limited to the first 40 teams to register and the entry fee is $65 per person, which includes a steak and chicken barbecue.
Divisions for men, women and mixed teams of two men and two women will be offered and more than $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top 10 net teams and the top four gross teams.
A 2018 Honda Civic, supplied by Griffeth Honda in Presque Isle, will be awarded to the first golfer to hit a hole-in-one on hole No. 4. A $10,000 cash prize, provided by the Par & Grill Restaurant in Caribou, will be given to the first hole-in-one on hole No. 15.
Closest to the pin, longest drive and other contests will be held. An auction also will be part of the post-tournament festivities, along with the barbecue meal.
