HOULTON, Maine — Thirty-two employees, celebrating a combined 470 years of community banking, were honored recently during a special employee appreciation event at Katahdin Trust.
“Our employees are what make Katahdin Trust unique and define our brand of banking, exceeding our customers’ expectations every day,” explained Jon J. Prescott, Katahdin Trust president and CEO in a press release. “It’s important to thank these employees for their dedication and contributions they have made to make our bank the successful company it is today.”
Thirty-two employees were recognized for a combined 470 years of service with Katahdin Trust. Employees receiving an award were able to choose from extra days off or a monetary gift based on their years of service as a token of the bank’s appreciation for a job well done. In addition, each employee, regardless of their time at the bank, received an entry ticket for each year of service at Katahdin Trust and was eligible to enter to win a variety of prize packages.
Employees celebrating 35 years of service — Lori Nadeau, retail loan assistant in Patten; Janet Jandreau, customer service representative in Ashland; and Debbie Schillinger, assistant vice president/branch manager in Island Falls and Oakfield.
30 years of service — April Emery, head teller in Van Buren.
25 years of service — Susan McCarthy, vice president, commercial services officer with Maine Financial Group in Scarborough. Maine Financial Group is a subsidiary of Katahdin Trust.
20 years of service — James Amabile, vice president, commercial services officer with Maine Financial Group in Scarborough; Teresa Lincoln, credit control, operations center in Houlton; Susan Lunn, vice president, compliance officer at the Operations Center in Houlton; Susan Cone, credit control, operations center in Houlton; Vickey Tilley, accounts payable at the operations center in Houlton; and Matt Nightingale, executive vice president, treasurer and CFO, at the operations center in Houlton.
15 years of service — Krista Putnam, vice president, marketing at the operations center in Houlton; Sarah Silliboy, BSA officer at the operations center in Houlton; Penny Garnett, teller in Patten; and Julie Chamberlain, teller in Caribou.
10 years of service — Nikki Lockhart, retail services assistant based in Fort Fairfield; Cathy Haley, head teller in Presque Isle; Jennifer Craig, retail services officer, branch manager in Fort Fairfield; Rebecca Potter, commercial services officer in Bangor; Melissa Dahlgren, customer service representative in Caribou; Lisa Jandreau, teller in Presque Isle; Kimberly Embelton, customer service representative in Fort Fairfield; Fred Gagnon, MIS network administrator at the operations center in Houlton; and Wendy Henderson, loan operations clerk at the operations center in Houlton.
5 years of service: Elizabeth Michaud, head teller in Fort Fairfield; Denise Lease, teller in Van Buren; Scott Rossignol, MIS system administrator at the operations center in Houlton; Candice Glover, trainer at the operations center in Houlton; Whitney Moran, electronic banking clerk at the operations center in Houlton; Heidi Stewart, branch service representative in Houlton; Emerson Wright, customer service representative in Presque Isle; and Marie Vincent, deposit operations clerk at the operations center in Houlton.
During the event, employees also celebrated Katahdin Trust’s own remarkable 100th year anniversary. “We are forever grateful to our many employees, past and present, who believe in our mission, show leadership in their communities, and help this region grow and prosper,” added Prescott. “From one week to forty plus years, each employee is a great asset to our team and we thank them greatly for their ongoing commitment to providing community banking at its best!”
