MAPLETON, Maine — Nine ladies of all ages from throughout Maine earned titles during the Miss Crown of Maine Pageant on May 26, held at the Mapleton Lions Club.
“There were 36 amazing contestants from all around the state,” said pageant owner and organizer Melinda Corey. “Their ages ranged from 3 to 61.”
At the competition’s conclusion, the following received crowns: Alexis Saucier of Caribou, Tiny Miss Crown of Maine; Kylie Griffeth of Presque Isle, Little Miss Crown of Maine; Madelyn Cote of Caribou, Pre-Teen Miss Crown of Maine; Maggee Currie of Easton, Junior Miss Crown of Maine; Mia Rollins of Hallowell, Teen Miss Crown of Maine; Michelle Bilodeau of Knox, Miss Crown of Maine; Ashley Morton of Castle Hill, Ms. Crown of Maine; and Sherry Sivret of Calais, Mrs. Crown of Maine.
Alexis Dotson of Ashland earned the title of Crown of Maine Ambassador.
Proceeds from the event went to the Live Out Loud Charity, which founder Sherrie Gearheart began in 2010 after losing a childhood friend to suicide. According to its website, the charity “focuses on core character development, anti-bullying and suicide prevention.”
