LIMESTONE, Maine – Anita P. Sirois, 82, wife of the late Maynard L. Sirois, passed away on Sunday morning, June 17, 2018, at a Presque Isle hospice facility, following a brief illness. She was born on December 5, 1935, in Caswell, the daughter of Vinal and Gladys (O’Neal) Greenier. She attended school in Caswell, was a graduate of the Limestone High School and attended college in Boston, MA, for a period of time. She was married to Maynard L. Sirois on August 25, 1956, and was a life long communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone.
Anita had been employed as a bank teller in Limestone for many years, beginning with Limestone Trust Company and retiring from Katahdin Trust Company. Anita was very active in her parish and greatly enjoyed her family and many friends. She will be remembered as being well liked with an outgoing personality. She never met a person she did not like and vise versa.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sirois was predeceased by her husband, Maynard, on July 25, 2004; and one sister, Glenda Ketch. She is survived by two sons, Rocky M. Sirois and his wife, Jana, of Aiken, SC, and Roger M. Sirois and his wife, Lisa, of Papillion, Nebraska; two daughters, Michele M. Cote and her husband, Kenneth, of Caribou, and Ann Marie Sirois and her companion, Albert Burnham, of Auburn; two brothers, Reginald Greenier and his wife, June, amd Roger Greenier, all of Caswell; one sister, Sylvia Suire of Caswell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, 100 Main Street, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshment will be held after the Mass in the church reception area. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou.
