MAPLETON, Maine – Gay Lee Tilley, 72, passed away on June 14, 2018, at her daughter Lynne’s home in Castle Hill after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 31, 1946, in Portland, the daughter of Merrill and Carrie Lee (McDaniels) McDonald.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read, make cards, and enjoyed doing cross word puzzles.
Gay is survived by two sons, David Tilley Jr. of St. Peterburg, FL, and Daniel of Londonderry, NH; two daughters, Lynne Willette and her husband, Joe, of Castle Hill, and Andrea Nelson and her husband, Douglas, of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Jimmy McDonald, two sisters, Terry McDonald, and Cheryl Tracy, all of Portland; eight grandchildren, Darren, Greg, Tyler, Tonya, Steven, Jody, Missy, and Summer; and three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Alyssa, and Macy; as well as two special friends, Winnie and Anita.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, David Tilley, and two brothers, Cobert and Bobby McDonald.
