HOULTON, Maine — Student athletes from Houlton Middle-High School received awards and recognition by the Penobscot Valley Athletic Conference for the recently completed spring sports season.
Named to the All-Academic squad were as follows: Mia Hanning and Tristan Cosby, track and field; Kristen Graham, Aspen Flewelling, Alexandra Maker, Tyra Gentle and Carolyn Mooers, softball; Seth Holston and Nick Perfitt, baseball; Rebecca Mooers and Emily Miller, girls tennis; Tim Youngfellow, Devin Ivey and Jeremy Cook, boys tennis.
Named to the All-Aroostook squad were: Colby Callnan, Pat Howe, Perfitt and Morgan Phillips, baseball; Flewelling, Gentle, Graham, Alex Maker and C. Mooers, softball; Emma Ardell, Amelia Hanning, track and field; Nolan Porter, Rebecca Mooers, Isaac Vega and Jaron Gentle, tennis.
For baseball, Howe was named to the PVC first team all stars, while Gentle and Perfitt received second-team honors. Ryder Graham received an honorable mention and coach Jim Castner was named as PVC Coach of the Year.
