Children ran around the splash pad eagerly, often stopping at the buckets that dumped water after filling to the brim. Many stood underneath the largest bucket at the east end of the splash pad, shouting and laughing as warm water came tumbling down.
The splash pad is free and will be open to the public every day, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. until dusk throughout the summer, with the snack shack open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We’re excited to finally have the splash pad open for people in the community to enjoy,” said Chris Beaulieu, recreation and parks director.
