HOULTON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District will host a special meeting of the USDA Local Work Group on Wednesday, June 27, at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the USDA Service Center, 304 North St, Houlton, and is open to the public.
The special Local Work Group meeting will specifically discuss program funding changes and the addition of the noxious weed bedstraw to a new sub-account for program ranking protocol. Addendums will be provided to the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service for consideration. Written comments will also be accepted.
