Events happening at the Walter T. A. Hansen Memorial Library in Mars Hill include the following:
Graduation Raffle: The library has a basket of goodies just right for that graduate heading to college in the fall, with items your grad will need from towels and snacks to notebooks and laundry soap. It will also include a small microwave — just right for their dorm room. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available at the library.
Looking for LEGOs? The library will hold a LEGO Party on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Anyone with LEGOs they are willing to donate to the library should call 429-9625.
A Mad Hatter Tea Party will be held on Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon, and the library will conduct a Bikes for Books program again this summer.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday, June 12, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.
The guest speaker was Pete Lento from the Presque Isle CareerCenter. He spoke of the unemployment rate, which is the lowest it has been in years.
Most jobs now require some computer skills, he said. Some jobs have requirements that make it hard for some to gain employment, such as a criminal history or a history of drug use.
He recommends that people train for what they would like to do that is marketable in the area that they plan to settle in. Typically a college student will change their minds about their career path while in school as they learn more options available in their chosen field. People will also typically have several career changes during their lifetime.
