Several of Aroostook County’s top softball players will have an opportunity to show off their skills Thursday, June 28, when they participate in the Maine High School Softball Coaches Association underclass and senior all-star games at Colby College in Waterville.
Playing for the Class C/D North underclass team will be Lily Cullen and Lindsey Drew, both of Katahdin, Olivia Tardie of Ashland and Breann Bradbury of Central Aroostook. The game against the South all-stars begins at 1 p.m.
The A/B North vs. South underclass game follows at 3 p.m. Savannah Rodriguez of Presque Isle and Taylor Devoe of Caribou are among those suiting up for the North team.
The senior all-star games follow and numerous athletes from Aroostook will play on the C/D North squad. They are Amber Chasse and Morgan Doughty, both of Ashland; Cailtyn Harris of Central Aroostook; Leanne Fitzpatrick of Katahdin and Tyra Gentle, Kristen Graham, Aspen Flewelling, Carolyn Mooers and Alex Maker, all of Houlton. The Shiretowner players are unable to attend the game, which begins at 5 p.m.
Competing for the A/B North team are Caribou’s Jaelynn Doody and Kaytlin Waldemarson. The contest against the South squad is held at 7 p.m.
Only Maine High School Softball Coaches Association member schools are eligible to have players chosen for any of the all-star teams.
