CONNOR TWP., Maine – Danny Haney, born on Nov. 4, 1953, lost his battle with cancer on June 24, 2018, with his family by his side.
Danny is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gaetane Theriault Haney; one daughter, Sherry Haney, and his two grandsons, Danny and Dawson Berentes, all of Limestone; four brothers, James Haney of Connor, Maine, Milo Haney and his wife, Priscilla, of Caribou, Dana Haney and his wife, Deloris, of Caribou, and Matthew Haney of Connor, Maine; two sisters, Jacqueline Rice of Birch Harbor, Maine, and Raylene Shaw and her husband, Barry, of Presque Isle.
Danny was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Irene Nelson Haney, one brother, Wilfred O. Haney, and three sisters, Diane Schorr, Linda Hurd, and Vicki Cote.
Danny had special people in his life he wanted to thank: Diane and Ted Theodore; Matthew Haney, his brother, for being there every day; his nieces, Crystal Cote and Laurie Perley; Dan Berentes, Sr., Raymond King, and Paul and Betty Taggett, as well as one very special great-nephew, William Adams. Danny had several nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the organization Brians’ Ride, as well as the Caribou Nursing and Rehab Center, and Dr. Espinosa.
A graveside service will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018. Following the interment, there will be a gathering at the Caribou VFW. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
