PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Linda Marie Kurilec, 76, passed away on January 17, 2018, at Southern Acres Residential Care in Westfield. She was born on Sept. 5, 1941, in Mapleton, the daughter of Albert and Pearl (Hudson) Billier.
Linda graduated from Faith School of Theology. She worked as a CNA, and LPN, and was an excellent nurse. She had a heart of gold and was a wonderful person. She and her mother lived together for six years, and were the best of friends. They loved to travel the back roads, and they traveled to Pennsylvania to visit relatives.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Williams of Presque Isle; a sister, Penny Esposito and her husband, Greg, of Woodbourne, NY, a nephew, Luke Esposito, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Kurilec in March of 2013, and her brother, Dan Belyea in July of 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton, with Steve Davis officiating. A reception will follow at the Mapleton Methodist Church.
