PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Community Players will hold auditions for their 2018 production of “Imagine,” a musical review of songs from the 1960s and ’70s, to include songs from The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, John Denver and Brotherhood of Man, to name a few.
Auditions will be held at Grant Memorial United Methodist Church in Presque Isle on Sunday July 22, and Wednesday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m.
Claudia Stevens will be the production’s musical director and John Kiehn will be the stage director.
Adults of all ages are encouraged to audition, and may be asked to sing a solo, so should either bring sheet music of their choosing or be prepared to sing a piece the directors provide.
Rehearsals for the production will be at the church on Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Performances will be October 19, 20, 26 and 27 in Wieden Auditorium at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, with all shows at 7 p.m.
The nonprofit Presque Isle Community Players includes musicians, actors, actresses, and singers from Presque Isle and surrounding communities. The group is over 30 years old with some of its founding members still active in the group.
