JOYCE EMILY (WOTTON) STILLMAN, MONTICELLO – Joyce Emily (Wotton) Stillman, 87, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1931, in Monticello, the daughter of Burleigh J. and Bessie Mae (Thompkins) Wotton.
Joyce grew up in Monticello and graduated from Ricker Classical Institute. She married John Stillman on November 2, 1950, and together they would raise their five girls. She worked for many years as living assistance aid for Catholic Charities, helping people with cooking and cleaning. She loved her church and vacations with her girls.
She is survived by her five daughters, Sharon Lyons and her husband, Robert, and Judy Kidd and her husband, Alfred, all of Monticello, Sherry Cole of Norridgewock, Gwen O’Mara and her husband, Bernard, of Dyer Brook, and Burlene Little and her husband, Guy, of Linneus; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Stillman, a son-in-law, David W. Cole, a grandson, Ransford Bell, and several brothers and sisters.
Friends called from 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Dunn Funeral Home, where a funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dwayne Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Jewell Cemetery, Monticello. The family invites relatives and friends to a reception at the Calvary Pentecotal Church in Monticello, following the committal.
