120 golfers compete in annual blossom festival scramble

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Forty teams competed in Saturday’s Maine Potato Blossom Festival annual three-person scramble golf tournament, held at Aroostook Valley Country Club.

The winning Division I team was made up of Tyler Sisson of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Jared Brawn of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick; and Dylan Fitzherbert of Fredericton, New Brunswick, who shot a 58.

Placing second was the trio of Dave Bolster, Scott Jenkins and Richard Moulton, two strokes back with a 60.

John McCrea and Larry Gardner, both of Fort Fairfield, and Tim Nightingale of Camden made up the first-place team in Div. II. They scored a 63.

In second place was the team of James Pearson, Brad Dickinson and Darren Barnes, also with a 63.
