HOULTON, Maine — Sam Clockedile, marketing and advertising specialist at Katahdin Trust, was recently awarded the Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) certification from the American Bankers Association.
“Earning the CFMP certification validates Sam’s experience and depth of education in the bank marketing arena,” said Krista Putnam, senior vice president of marketing and Certified Financial Marketing Professional. “On behalf of the entire bank we congratulate Sam on this wonderful accomplishment.”
The CFMP certification is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of financial services marketing. To qualify, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education, pass an exam and agree to abide by a code of ethics. The CFMP exam covers many areas including financial principles, laws and regulations, market research, characteristics of marketing plans and marketing components.
Clockedile has more than eight years of bank marketing experience, joining Katahdin Trust in 2010 as a marketing assistant. In 2015 he became marketing coordinator and later that year named to his current role as marketing and advertising specialist.
He received his BS in business administration and management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. In addition, he graduated from the Young Professionals Institute in Presque Isle, the Northern New England School of Banking, and most recently the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management.
Clockedile resides in Mars Hill with his wife, Abby, and son, Jayce
