Caribou High School will host the 12th annual Alumni / Community Cross Country Race at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, on CHS trails.
Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. The race, 2-3/4 miles in length, is for people of all ages and will be run under the lights. Categories include 50 years and over, 40-49, 30-39, 20-29, high school, eighth grade and under and elite runners.
Individuals can race independently or as part of a team. Teams can have up to five people, but must have at least three to score, and can be in either the men’s, women’s or mixed division.
There is no entry fee. Runners start in various groups, according their age category. Each group starts one minute apart, so everyone has a fair chance of winning. Scoring will be by place, not time, and winners will receive race T-shirts.
