School starts Wednesday at the Easton School Department. Please visit the school website (eastonschools.org) and calendar frequently for the school lunch menu, upcoming events and other reminders.
Easton Elementary School will host their annual Open House on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m.
Rec adult field trips
Local recreation departments will host a barbecue at Thomas Brewer Park on Thursday, Aug. 16.
The bus leaves the Manor at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $3. This is an annual favorite with music & visiting with our friends from Ashland and Washburn. You’re welcome to bring a lawn chair. May stop for ice cream on the way home.
On Friday, Aug. 24, the bus will depart from the Manor for Mom’s Fudge in Madawaska. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way; along with a stops at K-Mart and Marden’s. There is no fee for transportation but participants will be responsible for their own lunch and any shopping.
Easton Calendars
There are still several Easton Community Celebration Calendars that have not yet been retrieved. Please pick up your copy (copies) as soon as possible. There are extras available.
Library Change
The community library at Easton High School will no longer be open for regular hours on Saturday mornings. In the future, library services will still be available on an “as requested” basis to arrange a mutually convenient time please contact Steve Demaio at 207-805-2702.
