BRIDGEWATER, Maine — The third annual Healing Waters Women’s Conference, a Christian faith-based event, will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. and all day Saturday, Sept. 1 and 2, at Whited Bible Camp, 790 US Route 1, Bridgewater.
This year’s lineup of speakers will address healing in areas of depression, suicidal thoughts, sexual trauma, abortion, letting go and the power of forgiveness. In addition, this conference will include stories from real women who have lived those experiences.
“The Time To Live Free Women’s Conference is designed for women that desire to walk in freedom, in liberty,” said Angel Murchison, founder of the Healing Waters Weekend. She will speak on on Letting Go, Putting the Past In The Past.
Evangelist Tanya Jalbert will be the keynote speaker. Jalbert, originally from Jamaica, came to her faith through the evangelism of an 11- year old boy in New York while at Albany University as a biology major.
“She fell in love with Jesus and went to Bible school, where she later met her husband, Stephane Jalbert,” Murchison said. “After graduate school, they returned to serve in Canada and internationally as evangelists.”
For 8 1/2 years, Tanya Jalbert has been the founder/director of Reach Suicide Prevention Ministry, in Edmundston, New Brunswick. She and her husband have a 10-year-old son named Samuel.
“Every person was intentionally created by God with a destiny to bless the world, and they deserve to know it, to tell it, and to fulfill it,” Jalbert said.
Other speakers include, Ayo Isaacs LaNiece Sirois and Lynn Hickey. Worship style music will be lead once again by Donna Rossignol Roy. In addition, there will be a bookstand, one-on-one ministry, an art/craft session and live music.
The price is $25 US for the full two-day conference, $10 for the Friday session only and $20 for Saturday’s session. Accommodation and meals are available on the premises and included in the registration fee. All women are welcome. Scholarships are available for those with a financial need.
