Stormy Culvert is a 7-week, 2-pound, gray and white kitten rescued by Halfway Home Pet Rescue of Caribou and volunteers including Wes Holmes, Chris Corbin and Casey Estabrook on Sept. 2. The kitten was lost in a storm drain at the Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle and had spent at least one cold night there. A crowd of close to 25 people turned out to support rescuers, cheering when the kitten was freed. Stormy is now recovering from his ordeal in a volunteer foster home. (Courtesy of HHPR)
