MASARDIS, Maine — The Maine State Police are seeking information on a driver and pickup truck suspected of leaving the scene of a crash in Masardis Saturday.
According to Maine State Police, Oxbow resident Murray Gorham was parked in his Ford SUV with a passenger on the shoulder of the road on Route 11 in Masardis Saturday to make a cell phone call.
A pickup truck thought to be a red GMC or Chevrolet crashed into the left rear of Gorham’s vehicle, before then crossing the centerline of the road and nearly hitting another vehicle, according to state police.
The truck did not stop and left in an unknown direction, state police reported.
Neither Murray nor his passenger were injured in the crash.
The truck that fled the scene is thought to have have sustained major damage to the right front. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Maine State trooper Ryan Kilcollins at (207) 532-5400.
