HOULTON, Maine — Two classes at Houlton Middle-High School joined forces to bring a splash of color to the Shiretown Saturday.
The Class of 2019 and Class of 2021 co-sponsored a 5K Color Splash Fun Run to raise money for their respective classes.
The race was an untimed fun run featuring a designated course starting and finishing at the Millar Civic Center. Throughout the course, participants were doused at color splash zones, followed by a final color toss celebration at the end of the race.
Nearly 50 runners and walkers participated in the event. Houlton High School junior Nolan Jacobs was the first to cross the finish line.
